A customer required a 316 stainless steel press system for a steam condensate installation, including larger diameter 54mm and 88.9mm pipework. Plumbland supplied the pipe and a selection of stainless press fittings with FKM seals, including elbows, couplers, male adaptors and male union adaptors.
The customer needed a selection of 316 stainless steel press pipe and fittings for a steam condensate installation, with the requirement covering both 54mm and 88.9mm sizes.
Alongside the stainless pipe, the project required a mixture of fittings to complete the installation, including changes of direction, pipe connections and threaded transitions. The customer specifically requested green FKM seals for the press fittings.
The supply included 316 stainless steel press pipe, 90 degree and 45 degree press elbows, press couplers, male threaded adaptors and male union adaptors in 54mm and 88.9mm sizes. FKM sealing rings and additional stainless press fittings required for the installation were included in the same project supply.
The manufacturer lists its FKM stainless press range in sizes from 15mm to 168mm and includes commercial steam condensate and low-pressure steam condensate within its application information. Formed stainless components are listed as 1.4404 / 316L to EN 10088, while threaded stainless components are listed as 1.4408 / 316L to EN 10283.
Final specification and system design remain the responsibility of the installer, contractor or project engineer.
