A customer was extending an existing stainless system to incorporate a chiller unit.
The installation required a combination of stainless press fittings and 150lb stainless steel BSP threaded fittings, including some less common reducing configurations that were not part of the standard range they already had available.
They needed the additional fittings sourced so the new chiller could be incorporated into the wider stainless system.
plumbland stocks a broad range of 150lb stainless steel BSP threaded fittings in sizes from 1/4" to 2", with larger sizes available to order. Standard stocked fittings include tees, 90 degree elbows, unions, caps, plugs, reducing bushes, hose tails, sockets, barrel nipples, hex nipples and flanges.
For this requirement, products were sourced from the wider range, including reducing tees, reducing sockets, running nipples and other specialist reducing configurations. Stainless press fittings required for the wider installation were supplied alongside the BSP fittings.
Final fitting selection, thread compatibility and system specification remain the responsibility of the installer, contractor or project engineer.
